In May, St Aloysius College welcomed four young people from Timor Leste to the College. Ipi, Elga, Romario and Aldo are members of Juventude ba Dezenvolvimentu NĂ¡sional (JDN), an organisation helping young people in Dili to develop services to increase their economic independence.

Some secondary Humanities and Religion classes heard presentations about life in Dili today, learning more about one of our nearest neighbours and the struggle to provide health and education for their people.

Nazareth Catholic Community, who have been visiting Timor Leste for 10 years, have also helped host our visitors. Ipi and Elga have been a joy to have in our school community and have made many new friends during their stay.
