Damascus College is excited to announce College Dux for 2020 is Grace Young-Harvey.
Grace scored an ATAR of 99.40 when results were released today, and she studied the following subjects Biology, Psychology (in 2019), Further Mathematics, Legal Studies, Health & Human Development and English.
119 Damascus students successfully completed VCE, with 19 students completing Year 12 VCAL, in 2020.
Patrick Western scored 90.95 and Symantha Sawka scored 90.05 and were both thrilled with their result.
Our College Dux, Grace said that she hopes to study Health Sciences at Swinburne University.
“Everyone had a rough year with COVID-19 and remote learning, so I was especially grateful and shocked when I received my results this morning,” she said.
“I would have been happy to have gotten a score of 60 or above, as this is what I require to get into my course of preference. It is my dream is to get into the health sciences area as I really want to help people.”
During her time at Damascus, Grace excelled academically and has received an Academic Excellence award in every one of her six years at the College, quite an achievement indeed.
