The Catherine McAuley community joined together on Friday, 5th February for the Opening School Mass and to welcome the newest members of the school community into the Circle of Mercy. During the Mass Year 7 students received their school bible and new members of staff received a candle which had been lit by the school captains from the school candle. Following this the new members formed a Circle of Mercy around the school’s Morley Centre as the whole school community prayed for God’s blessing on their studies ahead and welcomed them to the school.
At the conclusion of the Mass the Years 7-12 SRC representatives, Year 10 Peer Support Mentors and Years 8-10 House, Mercy in Action (MAG) and Liturgy leaders received their badges of office.
