Damascus College Year 11 student Ben Creanor recently qualified to represent Damascus College next Sunday 1st September, in the National eSports Final in Melbourne.
Ben said that eSports is a rapidly growing field of professional gaming, particularly for people that specialise in a certain game.
“I have been playing electronic games for the last nine years, but this is the first year I have participated in eSports. My favourite game is NBA2K, which is a basketball simulation game,” he said.
“I am really looking forward to participating in this inaugural national competition. I never thought I would have the chance to be able to play at this National level, especially representing my school.”
Throughout the competition Ben has met many other gamers and students with similar interests, and the success he has achieve has boosted his confidence immensely.
