Over the past year, our former Science Centre here at St Mary’s College Auckland has undergone a complete transformation and been repurposed as an English Centre. This space has now become a flexible learning environment and is to be known as the Sister Marcienne Kirk English Centre.
The centre was officially rededicated on Monday 25 February at a very moving ceremony. Sister Marcienne herself was there to unveil the new building plaque and say a few words. It was very special to have her present for the occasion as a past student, teacher and Principal of the College and for her to be supported by her extended family on the night.
We wish to thank everyone who supported this amazing project. Our English Faculty are very much looking forward to ensuring this new building provides a successful learning environment for our students for many years to come.
